Trout and Spotted Bass Grab Trolled Lures

BURSON – Shore anglers and rental boaters are hauling in good numbers of lightning and rainbow trout at Lake Camanche.

Mark Wilson, Delta striped bass expert, took a break from fishing the Delta and went trolling at Camanche with 3 friends in a rented pontoon boat.

“We trolled with white grubs and black and grey small Rapalas,” Wilson stated. “We caught a total of 2 trout in the 4 lb. range and 15 spotted bass while fishing the main body from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. I didn’t go out with them on their next trip on the lake, but the three anglers I fished with and another guy landed 18 trout and 2 bass while trolling up the M...
